Geelani denounces US plan on Jerusalem

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Thursday denounced United States plan to declare Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, saying despite its tall claims about democracy, they are following a bias and prejudicial policy against Muslim countries.

Geelani stressed on the Muslim world to forge unity and asked to take practical steps against the sinister designs and conspiracies hatched by USA.

He also called for valley wide protest on December 08 against the recent decision of Trump administration.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the amalgam said that an extra ordinary meeting of executive council of Hurriyat Conference with Syed Ali Geelani in chair, was held at Hyderpora, in which all the constituent  leaders participated and thoroughly discussed and deliberated upon prevailing situations, geopolitical changes, conspiracies hatched against Muslim Ummah and recent developments related with freedom movement of Kashmir and the future strategy.

The various issues were discussed and after deliberations, it was declared that while pursuing the freedom movement, they won’t succumb to any pressure and while extending full support to Geelani, the council hailed the stand and stance adopted by the Huriyat chairman.

The statement said that it was also resolved in the meeting that Hurriyat Conference believes in peaceful resolution of all issues through meaningful dialogue, however it is the arrogance of Indian administration that has turned whole state into a graveyard and while strangulating genuine voices, the authorities are caging, innocents including students, youth and elderly and added that practically the puppets have created “martial law” like situations in the state.

The meeting reviewed the concept of future strategy, work plans and reinforcement into the amalgam and in its session declared that they are obliged to follow the mission of martyrs and will take movement to its logical end, saying negotiations under the shadow of gun are unacceptable and against the spirits of democratic norms.

The constituent members also observed and clarified that both Kashmir and Palestine issue are of serious nature for Muslim world and OIC and appealing Muslim leaders for taking measures and serious notice for the resolutions, stressed to forge unity among its folds.
