Two drug peddlers held in Bandipora

Srinagar: Continuing its drive “War against drugs”, Ganderbal police Thursday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

A police spokesman said that acting on an information, Bandipora police laid two nakas at Aloosa and Kaloosa areas of its jurisdiction. During naka checking wo drug peddlers identified as Nisar Ahmad Turk resident of Sheikh Muqam Bandipora and Mohammad Iqbal Mir resident of Dachigam Bandipora were arrested. 04 kilograms of charas was recovered from their possession.

Bandipora police has registered case FIR numbers 166 and 167 under section 8/20 NDPS against them respectively and investigation was taken up, the official said.
