Srinagar: Following fresh snowfall, the 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway has been closed since late Wednesday night.

According to reports, the highway, linking Ladakh region with Kashmir valley, was closed after fresh snowfall at Sonamarg, Zojila and Meenamarg.

Pertinently, a MeT spokesman has predicted moderate to heavy rains and snow across Jammu and Kashmir from Dec 11 to Dec 15.

“A fresh western disturbance is most likely to affect the state with moisture feeding taking place from the Arabian Sea resulting in moderate to heavy rain and snow at several places in all the three regions – Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh – of  the state,”  the Met official said.
