Abducted Bandipora youth returns home safely
Bandipora: The brother of cop who was abducted on Wednesday evening by unidentified gunmen in Ajas area of Bandipora has returned home safely, reports said on Thursday.
Suspected militants on Wednesday evening had abducted Mudasir Khan, brother of policeman Farooq Ahmad Khan, who was recently promoted from SPO to constable at Chawan, Gujerpati Ajas in the district.
“Militants picked me from home, inquired about my brother and at midnight asked me to return back”, reports quoting Mudasir said.
Earlier, following the abduction, army and police had launched overnight operation in the area.
