Militants abduct Cop’s brother in Bandipora
Srinagar: Suspected militants on Wednesday evening abducted brother of a policeman in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
A police officer said that a group of militants barged inside the residence of the policeman Farooq Ahmad Khan, who was recently promoted from SPO to constable, and abducted his brother Mudasir Khan 22/23 s/o Manna Khan at Chawan, Gujerpati Ajas in the district.
Soon after getting the information, police and army launched a massive man hunt to trace the abductors, the officer added.
Meanwhile, the family has informed the police that the militants were looking for Farooq Khan and when they were informed that he was not at home, they took along his brother Mudasir, the officer said.
