Qazigund Update: Encounter starts with hiding militants
Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between hiding militants and Government forces at Bounigam area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources said that militants after carried out an attack on army patrol at Bounigam leaving three soldiers injured fled away and took shelter inside a building.
As the joint team of forces intensified the searches to trace out the hiding attackers, the hiding militants fired upon Government forces triggering an encounter. When last reports came in the intermittent firing was going on.
