Srinagar: Expressing profound grief over the loss of precious lives in the Peshawar terror attack, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Saturday termed the attack as a well-thought-out conspiracy to defame and malign Pakistan.

“The government of Pakistan should identify the culprits and bring them to book as the country is continuously targeted,” Geelani said.

“It is the handiwork of cowards and agents to destabilize the country,” Geelani said.

Geelani demanded exemplary action against brutal killers and called those “involved in it as beastly enemies of the entire humanity,” saying killing innocent students is a callous and beastly act.

He extended his sympathy and condolences to bereaved families and said that “those involved in these heinous attacks are not human beings and we demand exemplary and stringent action against these culprits.”

“It is a well-thought-out conspiracy to defame and malign this country,” said Geelani.

Geelani said the “people involved in this attack can never be the followers of Islam.”

Saying that terrorism in every form and place is condemnable and no religion, particularly Islam, has any place for actions like these.

“It is indeed very sad and unfortunate,” Geelani said, adding that people and political leaders in Pakistan should note this fact that this country is a hope and aspiring resort for Muslim Ummah.

Praying for those martyred in this ‘heinous attack’, Geelani expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for those martyred and for the early recovery of the injured.
