Encounter breaks out in Budgam
Budgam: Gunfight started between militants and Goverment forces in Futlipora, Pakharpora area of central’s Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Acting on a specific information SOG Budgam and 10 Garhwal of army cordoned off Futlipora, Pakharpora area of Budgam district. As such the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot militants hiding in the area fired upon Goverment forces triggering an encounter.
The gunfight was underway when reports last came in.
Meanwhile mobile internet services have been snapped in parts of central Kashmir’s Budgam following the gunfight.
An official said that the service was snapped “as a precautionary measure” to prevent any protests.
