Drug peddler held in Rafiabad
Sopore: Police on Wednesday evening nabbed a drug peddler with dozens of Codeine Phosphate bottles in Rafiabad area of district Baramulla.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, police party of Police Post Watergam laid a naka headed by DO Watergam. During naka checking at Dandoosa Crossing Sopore Police apprehended one person namely Mehraj-u-din Mir S/o Sonuallah Mir resident of Hib-Dangerpora Rafiabad was arrested and during the search 35 bottles of Codeine Phosphate bottles were also recovered from his possession.
Sopore Police seized the contraband drugs numbering 35 bottles and subsequently registered case vide FIR No.72/2017 U/S 8/22 DPS ACT and took up the investigation.
