Srinagar: Government forces on Thursday started a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Shangran area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir.
Sources said that a joint team of 19RR SOG, police and 164 CRPF cordoned the area after receiving the inputs about the presence of militants.
Search operation was going on when the last reports came in.
