Kazan Wushu medallists call on DGP
Jammu: Bronze medallists of 14th World Wushu Championship held at Kazan, Russia Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Rajinder Singh alongwith Inspr. Kuldeep Handoo, National Wushu Coach called on DGP, J&K at PHQ here, today.
DGP Dr. S.P. Vaid congratulated Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Rajinder Singh for bringing laurels to the State. He also congratulated Inspr. Kuldeep Handoo. While greeting the duo, DGP said that the feat of Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh will be remembered by J&K Police for times to come. The DGP assured that all assistance to him and other sports will continue.
Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh of J&K Police and Rajinder Singh had won Bronze medals in 14th World Wushu Championship held at Kazan, Russia in September – October, 2017.
The other Sports personalities who were accompanying the Wushu team are Randeep Kalra, Member BCCI & Vice Chairman J&K State Sports Council, Vijay Saraf, President, Wushu Association of J&K, Deepak Handa, Vice President, Wushu Association of J&K and Balkar Singh, renowned wrestler of J&K and father of Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh.
