Major Search operation in South Kashmir again

Pulwama: A massive search operation has been started by government forces in over half a dozen villages of Shopian district of South Kashmir after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area, police sources said.

They said that 62 RR, 14th bn CRPF and Special Operation Group of Police Shopian have cordoned off more than half dozen villages including Amshipora, Chitterpora, Ramnagri, Shamshipora, nowgam and it’s adjacent areas after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As per sources the siege in the area is being carried out by large force based on specific intelligence inputs regarding presence of militants in the area.

Sources added that door to door search operation is going on

Same kind of searches operation were launched on May 4, August 19, August 28,  September 5, November 09, however all these operation  ended peacefully.
