Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday said that Khankah-e-Moulla is of paramount importance for every Kashmiri as it belongs to the great saint Shah-i-Hamadan who not only revolutionized our religious lives but also transformed our economy by exposing us to various new trades and means.

Malik, who according to a statement issued here visited the shrine today also offered Friday prayers at the shrine.

Addressing a gathering at historical Khankah-e-Moulla he said that the shrine of “Khankah-e-Moulla for us is a symbol of sacredness, spirituality and socio-political life and any harm or damage to it is bound to pierce our hearts and sadden us.”

Thanking Allah for saving this sacred place from the devastating fire, Malik said that “we all must thank our lord for granting us faith and steadfastness and saving these places of reverence for us.”

Terming the Indian democracy as a worst form of dictatorship as far Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Malik said that the ‘biggest democracy’ believes in suppressing people’s voices by jailing, torturing and oppressing the people of Kashmir.

He said that thousands of people, young and old are languishing in jails and other incarceration centers and their lives have been turned into a nightmare.

Terming the slapping of yet another PSA on Masrat Aalam Bhat and shifting him back to Kotbalwal Jail as ‘glaring act of dictatorship in the garb of democracy’, Malik said that how can Indian leaders and Kashmiri leaders call themselves democrats when they are shamelessly using black laws like PSA to cage down their political antagonists.

He said on daily basis young boys and other people are being sent to jails under PSA which can only be termed as worst despotism.

Terming the charge sheet against APHC leader Shabir Ahmad Shah under ‘false charges’ and prolonging his incarceration by mean tactics, as ‘worst acts of intimidation’, Malik said that India is using NIA and ED to terrorize Kashmiris.

“They want to put us into submission by terrorizing, arresting, jailing, maligning and oppressing us but we want to tell them that Kashmiris will never bow down before their oppression and tyranny and will continue with their struggle and resistance at every cost.”
