Srinagar: After the authorities once again barred internet services in north Kashmir areas, students are feeling let down as they were presently busy with various examinations.

Notably, mobile internet service was snapped after the killing of two militants in Kupwara who hailed from neighboring Baramulla district.

Students from North Kashmir areas including Handwara, Kupwara, Sopore and Palhallan complained about the inconveniences they are facing due to snapping of internet services since last evening.

The students said the government on the pretext of maintaining law and order puts entire population to inconvenience by scuttling communications.

“You cannot think of preparing for examinations without internet in contemporary times and authorities should realize it,” said Tanveer, a student of 12th class from Handwara.

Many other students said that at a time when exams at various levels were going on, the students have been deprived of internet services which help them in preparations.

“The government surprisingly snapped internet services in Kupwara and Handwara areas which are totally peaceful this time. We urge authorities to kindly restore all modes of internet services as soon as possible,” the students demanded.
