Additional Secretary CM’s Grievances Cell takes up KP migrants’ issues

Jammu: Additional Secretary Chief Minister’s Grievances Cell, Inam-ul-Haq Sidiqui, Monday had a meeting to take stock of issues of Kashmiri Pandit Migrants.

The meeting was held in the backdrop of the visit of Additional Secretary to Jagti Township on the directions of Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, Coordinator Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell.

The issues raised during the visit included inadequate supply of medicines, shortage of medical staff, non-availability of drinking water, providing digital X-ray Machine, checking of monkey menace, providing reception centre at health centre, functioning of STP, handing over of Old Age Home from Police Deptt and establishment of Mourning Hall etc.

The overall progress on the issues discussed were found satisfactory, however it was observed that the pace of work in respect of various components is slow. The concerned officers from Relief Organization were asked to expedite work on the said components for quick redressal of the grievances.

The meeting was asked to take up the matter regarding maintenance of public parks, policy for opening skill up gradation centres for migrant youth, timely release of funds, development of parks, GIS mapping of migrant properties in Valley, construction of Mourning Halls in various camps, development of stadium in Jagti Town and establishment of indoor games, GYM, etc with the concerned at the earliest.

The Additional Secretary assured the meeting that all these issues will be brought in the notice of Chief Minister and with the concerned departments for early redressal.

The meeting was attended by K.K. Sidha, Deputy Commissioner Relief Organisation, Ashmia Sher, Assistant Commissioner, Imran Malik, Laison Officer, CMs Grievance Cell, A.K. Kkloo, Xen, A.E.Es and J.E.s of Relief Organisation, Dr. Jitender Koul, Medical Officer and representatives of Migrant Community, Ashok Sidha, S.K. Raina, Sunil Bhat and Bushan Lal Bhat.
