Police official fired upon by gunmen in J&K’s Anantnag
Anantnag: A policeman was shot at by unidentified gunmen in Anantnag district today, reports said. According to the reports, a special police officer (SPO) was injured in the attack. He has been identified as Ranbir Singh alias Tony, son of Sobedar Singh, a resident of Singpora, Ashmuqam and is posted at DC Office Anantnag.
The injured cop was rushed to District Hospital Anantnag in a critical condition from where he was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile, the forces have launched a search operation to nab the culprits.
