Bullet ridden body recovered in Sopore

Srinagar: A bullet-riddled body of a middle-aged man was recovered from apple town of Sopore in northern Kashmir, police said.

According to the police sources, they recieved information about a dead body lying in an orchard in Brath area of Sopore.

The body was identified as that of Ghulam Mohiuddin Sheikh (45), son of Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh, a resident of Edipora-Bomai.

Police said that the body was taken to Sub District Hospital Sopore for post mortem.

SSP, Sopore, Harmeet Singh confirmed that the Police has recovered the dead body of a middle-aged person, who has a bullet mark on his head.

Meanwhile, a family member said that Sheikh worked as a labourer.
