Anti-encroachment drive: DC retrieves 22 Kanals of State land at Parimpora

Srinagar: In a major demolition drive of illegal encroachments in Srinagar district, the district administration Tuesday retrieved 22 kanals of State land from illegal occupation by land grabbers at Barthana, Shalteng here.

The drive was conducted by enforcement wings of SMC and Revenue Department and was monitored by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SP East, SDM East, Tehsildar Central and other officials of Revenue and SMC.

During the anti-encroachment drive, two structures, including a house and a godown, came under demolition in addition to 18 tin-sheds and 150 feet-long compound walling.

In addition, a concrete poultry farm also came under the line of action.
