Focus on militancy, protection of people: DIG to officers

Sopore: Calling for the focus on militancy and on protection of the people, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) North Kashmir Range, V K Birdi Monday directed the police  officers to further fine tune their anti militancy operations and also keep a check on social crimes.

DIGP NKR was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sopore, Harmeet Singh Mehta in the meeting of officers that was held at DPL Sopore.

He directed the officers to work with more dedication to consolidate the peaceful atmosphere in their respective areas.

The officers of P/D apprised the DIGP NKR about the security scenario, crime control, community policing and anti-militancy operations in their respective jurisdictions.

DIGP NKR while chairing a darbar of Jawans at DPL Sopore heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be looked into on priority.

He said that welfare of jawans has always been priority and added that more welfare schemes have been introduced to benefit the jawans and for their families in recent times.

He however, impressed up them to work with dedication and devotion to ensure a sense of security and peace among the public.

The DIGP NKR also visited P/S TARZOO and P/S Sopore and interacted with traders federation Sopore, and assured them that their genuine problems would be solve.

Among others, Brigadier 5-Sector Hari Harwan, Brigadier 7-Sector Dr R  Rai, Brigadier 10-Sector S. H. Naqvi,  CO’s of RR 22, 52, and 32, CO’s of CRPF 179,177 and 92, SDPO Sopore Mashkoor Zargar KPS, SDPO RAFIABAD Dr. Idrees, DySP DAR Gh. Mohi-ud-Din, DySp Opps Sopore Showket Ahmad KPS, DySp Opps wadoora Vikram Singh KPS, SHO Sopore Mudasir Geelani, SHO Tarzoo Sabzaar Ahmad and other officials of PD Sopore.
