Drug peddler arrested
Srinagar: Continuing its drive against drug menace, police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered Charas (cannabis) from his possession in Safapora area of Ganderbal.
A police official said that a police party arty from Police Station Safapora led by SHO Safapora SI Mudasir Ahmad and under the supervision of DySP Ganderbal Dr. Rameez Raja KPS, over all Command and control of SSP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone KPS, started naka checking/ patrolling area under the jurisdictions of Police station Safapora apprehended one person who was roaming in a suspicious way namely Bilal Ahmad Bhat S/O Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Ganistan.
He said that while searching the suspect one plastic bag containing charas powder was recovered from his possession.
“Bilal (peddler) was arrested and plastic bag containing charas powder 1100gm in weight was seized on spot” he added.
In this regard case F.I.R NO: 38/2017 u/s 8/20 NDPS ACT has been registered investigation has been taken up.
