Six injured after CRPF vehicle hits a SUV

PATTAN: Six persons on board a Service Utility Vehicle (SUV) were injured at Pallhalan Pattan in North Kashmir when a CRPF vehicle hit the vehicle bearing registration number JK02AG -0070 on Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was coming from Kishtwar and was headed for Baramulla.

Police said that soon after the mishap, locals and police personnel evacuated the injured to a hospital from where five of the injured were shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment. Reports said that five persons sustained critical injuries in the mishap.  

Meanwhile, a religious cleric from Doda who has been identified as Hatif-ul Rahman was also injured in the accident. Rahman has been admitted in a local hospital.

He said that they were coming from Kishtwar to Baramulla to attend a Islamic conference and as they reached Pattan their vehicle met with an accident with CRPF vehicle at Pallahan. 

Police has meanwhile registered a case and started investigations.
