Took initiative on Kashmir, but India failed to respond: Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan on Thursday said that it has always taken initiative to resolve Kashmir conflict, but India never responded positively on our call.

Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in his weekly press brief said that his country desires international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir conflict, dawn on line reported.

“Pakistan has always taken initiative in view of resolving the conflict, it is India which has never responded positively on Pakistan’s call to resolve Kashmir conflict,” Zakaria was quoted as having said.

“There are three parties to the conflict- Pakistan, India and Kashmir,” he said.

Zakaria also confirmed that Pakistani High Commissioner had a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, however, he clarified that during the meeting Kulbhushan Jadhav visa was not discussed.

Pakistan High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood met Sushma Swaraj in October.
