Throat slit body of BJP activist recovered
Srinagar: Police on Thursday recovered a throat-slit body of a Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) activist under mysterious conditions at Kiloora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources said that body of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ayob Bhat, BJP Youth President Shopian, was recovered today evening at Kiloora with visible torture marks on body parts.
SSP Shopian Shri Ram while confirming the incident said that they launched investigations to ascertain the cause of death.
“He said that they are verifying whether the deceased is affiliated to any political party or not”, the SSP added.
