02 drug peddlers arrested in Budgam

Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in central Kashmir’s Budgam area.

A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, a Police Party of Police Station Budgam under the supervision of DySP HQRS raided a Jugi near a brick klin at Gudsutoo and arrested two drug peddlers identified as Ram Swaroop son of Hakim Singh  resident of Raipur Sanie Punjab and Dilair Singh son of  Nath Singh resident of Shant Pur Panjab. 15 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from their possession.

A case FIR number 253/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
