4 CRPF men injured in militant attack in Anantnag, LeT claims responsibility

Srinagar: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has claimed the responsibility of the attack which was carried on a CRPF patrolling party in Lazibal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.

Four CRPF men were injured in the attack, sources said.

“A convoy of CRPF 96 battalion with six buses was on their way back to Mattan where militant fired at them. The attack was repulsed though two CRPF men received minor injuries” police said.

“Mujahideen Lashkar-e-Taiba successfully attacked on Army convoy in Anantnag and suffered forces heavy damage. Four army men killed and seven others injured. Mujahideen safely returned  and reached their safe destination”  LeT Spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said in a statement.

Meanwhile whole area has been put under cordon to nab the attackers,” Police said in a statement.
