Police reunites missing boy with family

Srinagar: Anantnag police on wednesday claimed to have recovered a minor boy who was roaming in Hutmurrah area of the district and handed over to his parents.

A police spokesman said that Police Station Mattan received an information regarding the roaming of one minor boy identified as Aatif Ahmad Ganie son of Irshad Ahmad Ganie about 07 years old resident of Modergam, Kulgam student of Kaka Shah High School Merhama Kulgam.

On this information, a police party of Police Station Mattan rushed to the spot  and brought him to Police Station Mattan  from Hutmurah area of Anantnag with the help of locals, the official added.

Anantnag police immediately contacted Police Station Kulgam about the said boy and it was learnt that the boy was missing from his home. Besides, his family members were contacted and after completion of legal formalities, the boy was handed over to them under proper receipts, police said.
