After 5 years, poet Rasool Mir’s birthday celebrated in Dooru
Anantnag: After a gap of five years, Jammu and Kashmir Art and cultural Academy Tuesday celebrated the birthday of a famous Kashmiri Poet, Rasool Mir in a close door function in Dooru Shahabad area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The birthday was celebrated in close door and was attended by only a few persons.
A musical group from Art and Culture presented some verses penned by the poet Rasool Mir.
Pertinently, the birthday of a famous poet was celebrated in the premises of Government Degree College Dooru in which former MLA, Ghulam Ahmad Mir was also present. The event happened five years back.
However, no such function was organized to remember the famous poet since then.
