Two drug peddlers arrested in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Continuing its drive against drug menace, Ganderbal police Thursday, arrested two drug peddlers and recovered bhung from their possession.

According to a police statement, under the supervision of DySP Ganderbal Shri Ashaq Hussain, a police party of Police Post Shadipora led by DO SI Showkat Ali laid a naka at Waskura Ganderbal in its jurisdiction. During naka checking two persons identified as Mohammad Amin Hajam son of Abdul Rehman  and Abdul Rahman Rather son-in-law of Abdul Rehman Teli, both residents of Waskura Ganderbal were intercepted. On checking 29 kilograms of Bhang was recovered from their possession.

A case FIR number 228/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS act was registered and investigation was taken up.
