Mehbooba calls on Rajnath Singh
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss with him the current political situation in the state.
This was her first meeting with the Union Home Minister after the Government decided to have a sustained dialogue process in the state.
Earlier, Ms Mufti had welcomed the appointment of former Intelligence Bureau Chief Dineshwar Sharma as the Government’s representative for the sustained dialogue process in the state.
According to the sources, holding of panchayat election in J&K was also on the agenda in Thursday’s meeting.
