Shafqat Khan relieved of Commissioner SMC’s charge

Srinagar: The government on Tuesday relieved Dr Shafqat Khan of his charge as Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and posted Riyaz Ahmad Wani as the new Municipal Commissioner.

As per an order issued here Riyaz Ahmad Wani, KAS, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, is transferred and posted as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation,, relieving Dr. Shafqat, Khan, Health Officer,, Srinagar Municipal, Corporation of the additional charge.

Dr. Shafqat Khan, Health Officer, Srinagar, Municipal Corporation, is repatriated to the, Health and Medical, Education Department for further posting, an order issued here said.

Meanwhile, the government also ordered the transfer of three IAS and two KAS officers in the interest of administration.

According to two separate orders, Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary (IAS), has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudu against an available vacancy.

Sachin Kumar Vaishy (IAS) has been appointed Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khaltsi, against an available vacancy

Choudhary Mohammad Yasin (IAS) has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mahore, against an available vacancy. “He shall also hold the additional charge of the post of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dharmari, till further orders.”

Mohammad Hussain Mir (KAS), Director, Floriculture, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Director, Horticulture, Kashmir, vice Mathora Masoom.

Jahangir Hashmi,  KAS, Deputy Secretary CTN to the Government, Planning, Development and  Monitoring Department, under orders of transfer as Joint Director,  Tourism, Jammu, is posted as Additional Secretary to the Government,  General Administration Department (Infrastructure, Administrative  Reforms and Grievances).
