PL Gupta is new CVC, Gazzanfer Hussain appointed as VC

Srinagar: Governor NN Vohra Tuesday appointed retired Indian Police Services (IPS) P L Gupta as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner while another retired IAS officer Gazzanfer Hussain has been appointed as Vigilance Commissioner.

 An order issued by Vohra through J&K General Administration Department reads: “In exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 4(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission Act, 201 1 (Act No. 1 of 201 I), 1, N.N. Vohra, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, hereby appoint P.L. Gupta, IPS (Retd.) as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner in the State Vigilance Commission.”

 Gazzanfer Hussain has been appointed as the vigilance commissioner of the commission.

 “In exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 4(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission Act, 201 1 (Act No. 1 of 201 I), I, N.N. Vohra, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, hereby appoint Gazzanfer Hussain, IAS (Retd.) as the Vigilance Commissioner in the State Vigilance Commission,” read another order issued.
