BA Bla re-elects Adv Abdul Salam as President, Mir Kasir as Gen Secy

Baramulla: Bar Association Baramulla on Monday declared results of its elections in which senior Advocate, Abdul Salam Rather has been re-elected as President while young advocate Mir Kasir has been re-elected as General Secretary for the second consecutive term.

As per a statement of Bar Association Baramulla, the Election Commissioner, Advocate G.N Ahsan said that the formal declaration of the election results along with Oath Ceremony took place in the Bar Room today.

The candidates elected unopposed to the executive of Bar Association Baramulla include Abdul Salam Rather Advocate (President), Mohammad Iqbal Shah Advocate (Vice President), Mir Kasir Advocate (General Secretary), Ahmad Umar Bhat Advocate (Joint Secretary), Ashfaq Hussain Wani Advocate (Treasurer).

After the result declaration Oath of Office and Secrecy was administered to the executive members by senior member of Bar Association Baramulla G. M. Wani.

In his presidential address, senior advocate Abdul Salam Rather thanked all the members of Bar Association Baramulla for their active support and participation in general and in particular to Election Commissioner G.N Ahsan and his team for conducting smooth and fair elections and completing the process successfully in a transparent manner.
