Forces lay siege to two south Kashmir villages
Srinagar: Government forces on Monday launched a Cordon and search operation (CASO) in Sofipora village of Zainapora sub district and Arwani area Bijbehara tehsil of south Kashmir.
Sources said that the search operation was launched after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in these areas.
Official sources said that Sofipora village has been cordoned off by 3 RR and SOG Zainapora after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Pertinently, Arwani Eidgah Mohalla has been cordoned off by 1RR 90bn CRPF & SOG Bijbehara after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
They added that at both places heavy forces have been deployed and all entry and exit points have been sealed.
Search operation was going on at both places, they added.
