Woman held along with charras in Kupwara
Srinagar: Police today said that it have arrested a woman along with over 3 kilograms of charras in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“A police team acting on a specific information raided at Khodi Surigam village in Lolab and arrested the woman Mubeena Begium w/o Abdul Lateef along with 3.5 kilograms of charras”, a police officer told GNS, adding Lateef, husband the main accused fled from the spot and a hunt has been launched to nab the him.
He said that the consignment was being transported from Kashmir to Jammu.
Meanwhile, the officer said that a case under FIR No. 61/17 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in police station Sogam and further investigations taken up.
