Army porter killed in cross border firing

Baramulla: An army porter was killed as the armies of India and Pakistan on Saturday traded fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that the firing took place in Kamalkote area of Uri.

A porter working with the army was injured in the firing. His identity was not immediately known.

He was shifted to a hospital for treatment. “He succumbed to his injuries,” said an official.
