Tral legislator’s residence attacked

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Friday hurled grenade on the residential house of a sitting MLA in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources in the Police department informed that suspected militants hurled a grenade on the house of PDP MLA from Tral assembly constituency, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah.

They informed that that no injury or damage occurred due to the grenade blast.

Sources said that the police security guards deployed at the MLA’s house fired some gunshots in air following the grenade was hurled into the premises of the house.

MLA Tral, as per the local news gathering agency said that the grenade was hurled into the premises of his house at Kousarbal locality in Tral town today afternoon.

The legislator said that his family was not present inside the house at the time of the attack as they are putting up in Srinagar.

This was the second grenade attack on the house of ruling PDP MLA in the last two days.

On Thursday, unidentified militants lobbed a grenade into the house of PDP MLA from Wachi, Aijaz Ahmad Mir.

The grenade exploded into the premises of the house without causing any injury or damage to anyone.
