NC protest against braid chopping incidents

Srinagar: Opposition party National Conference leaders and workers today staged a protest against the government for failing to curb the menace of braid chopping in the valley.

The protest rally was led by the General Secretary of the party Ali Muhammad Sagar and other senior leaders of the party.

Meanwhile, normal life was affected in Kashmir valley on Saturday due to strike call issued by the separatist leadership against the unabated braid chopping incidents.

Shops and other business establishments are closed in Srinagar – the region’s main city – and other parts of the Valley while public transport is off the roads.
