Man’s hair chopped in Dooru Anantnag

Srinagar: In a first of its kind, hair of man has been chopped off at Sehpora village of Dooru area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The Victim identified as  Bilal Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Gani Mir was reportedly sleeping in his room at around 2 a.m. when some allegedly non local men broke the window panes, caught the 22 year old boy and chopped his hair and a finger.

Sources said as the news of the incident spread in the area, locals staged a protest demonstration against administration for failing to curb the persons involved in braid chopping.

Pertinently on 7 October, beard of Imam was chopped off in Budgam area.

Pertinently, braid chopping incidents have taken the valley by storm with over a hundred incidents already reported.

Police on the other hand has been unable get any major breakthrough into incidents.
