Army porter killed in Pak firing along LoC in Uri

Srinagar: An army porter was killed after India and Pakistani forces exchanged fire along LoC in Uri’ sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
“One porter Mohd Abbas, (22), resident of Kamalkot (Baramulla) employed with Army in Uri Sector lost his life in an unprovoked firing at around 1130 hrs today by Pakistan”, an army spokesman in a statement issued here said.
He said that the soldiers manning the fence strongly retaliated the shelling.

Earlier, an 18-year-old girl was injured when the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire. The girl was identified as Nasreena Bano, daughter of Fakeeullah, a resident of  Madya Kamalkote. She was shifted to the hospital in Uri town.
