PM Modi to celebrate Diwali with soldiers at LoC in Gurez
Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali with the troops of 15 Corps in Gurez Sector along LoC in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, reports said.
As per reports, Modi reached Srinagar a short while back and was received by Army Chief Bipin Rawat.
Sources said that Prime Minister will have launch with the soldiers.
Earlier in the day, Modi took to Twitter and extended Diwali greetings to the countrymen.
Popularly known as the festival of lights, Diwali is also celebrated by Hindus in Nepal, Malaysia, Mauritius and Pakistan.
Last year PM Modi celebrated Diwali with Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
