Hussaini Mushaira organized at Chadoora

Kashmir Concern Foundation in collaboration with District Information Centre Budgam, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and JK Tourism department today organized a ‘Mehfil Mushaira’ in the memory of renowned historian and saint Malik Hyder at Government Higher Secondary School, Chadoora.

Prominent poets and authors took part in the daylong event. The Mehfil began with the quiz programme in which 25 students, divided into five groups participated.

The quiz session remained focused on the life and achievements of Malik Hyder. First three winners were felicitated with cash money and citation.

The second session of Mushaira was conducted under the theme of Karbala-ke- Shaheed A.s.

As many as twelve poets took part and recited their poetry in honor and respect of Imam Hussain A.S.

Advocate, AR Hanjura covenor of the event on the occasion, said that aim and objective of organizing such events was mainly to protect and preserve our cultural heritage and diversity.

“We are trying our best to reach to young and talented youth and involve them to actively adopt and speared our past cultural heritage, which is a preserved gift from our ancestors,” he said.

Hanjura further hailed the active support of DIC Budgam for its support in organizing the event.
