Three militants arrested in last three days: Police
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have arrested three local militants in last three days. Police said that they have also recovered arms and ammunition from the militants.
Addressing a press conference here in Srinagar, IG Kashmir Munir Khan said that the local militant sare our own people and they are always welcome to join the mainstream.
“I have always said that if local militants surrender we’ll accept, we want them to get back to the main stream, they are our own people,” Khan said.
Commenting on the recent bank robberies in south Kashmir, Khan said that the police have identified the militant involved in the robbery.
“The 2 bank robberies that took place recently were done by Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, they’ve been identified by CCTV footage,” He said.
