Policeman killed as militants attack lawmaker’s cavalcade in Kulgam
Srinagar: A police driver was killed and two others injured after militants fired upon cavalcade of PDP MLA for Noorabad constituency in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
Official sources said the militants attacked the cavalcade of MLA Noorabad Abdul Majid Padroo in which one policeman driver namely Khurshid Ahmad died on the spot while another was injured. The attack occurred at Nandmarg crossing in DH Pora Kulgam.
The MLA, however, escaped unhurt in the attack. Soon after the firing, forces rushed to the spot and launched massive searches.
