Schools closed as LoC firing continues in Poonch

Srinagar: District authorities today ordered the closure of schools located near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu as the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and shelling.

According to the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, all schools along LoC have been closed today in view of cross-border firing and shelling.

Earlier, the armies of both the countries resorted to massive shelling in Degwar and Karmara sectors along the LoC.

There was no immediate report of any losses or casualties.
