KUTA concerned over braid chopping incidents

Srinagar: Kashmir University Teachers’ Association (KUTA) Thursday expressed its deep anguish and concern over the unabated incidents of braid chopping occurring in different parts of the Kashmir valley.

The KUTA according to the statement issued here called upon the concerned government agencies to take immediate necessary measures to curb this menace that is instilling fear and insecurity among common masses in general and female folk, staff and students in particular.

“A dreadful atmosphere has been created along the length and breadth of the valley as a result of these insane acts while the culprits continue to remain unidentified and untraced,” the spokesperson said.

He impressed upon the government to gear up its entire machinery and nab the culprits involved in such ‘heinous’ acts.
