House, cow shed damaged by fire
Kupwara: A double story residential house was gutted completely in a fire incident at Bakhikhar village of Handwara area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said Wednesday.
A double story house of Layakat Ahmad Dar s/o Wali Mohammad Dar and Akash Ahmad Dar was damaged in an incident of fire. The fire also engulfed the cowshed and the fire wood shed belonging to Mansoor Ahmad Son of Dostsan Ahmad resident of Bakhikhar. The incident left both the structures damaged completely.
However, there was no human loss or injuries to anyone, police said, adding that the cause of fire was not known.
Meanwhile, the effected families said that they have been rendered homeless and demanded compensation from the government.
