Braid chopping incidents, Police Public meets held

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police in its efforts to crack the cases of braid chopping, held four police public meets in Ganderbal and Anantnag.

In Ganderbal Police Public meetings were held at Police Post Shadipora, chaired by DySP Aashiq Hussain, Sub Division Kangan chaired by SDPO Kangan Umar Shah and Police Station Gund, chaired by In-charge SHO Bashir Ahmad.

A large number of people from nearby areas of their jurisdictions participated in these meetings. In Anantnag the meeting was held at Police station Srigufwara which was chaired by SDPO Bijbehara and attended by respectable citizens of the area.

At the outset of the meetings, the participants were warmly  welcomed and appreciated by police for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting.

While speaking on these occasions, the chairing officers seek help and support of public in order to solve the mystery of braid chopping. The officers also advised the participants that they should inform police in case they found any suspicious movement of any person and should refrain from cacophonic psychosis.

The officers also emphasized upon the incidents of braid chopping and asserted that police is investigating each and every incident of braid chopping and people should not pay attention to the rumours, “whatever is the fact will come out soon”.
