Shopian Pulwama shuts to mourn death of three militants

Pulwama: A complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama and  Shopian districts to mourn the killing of three militants killed in a gunfight at Gatipora village of Shopian district on Monday evening.

All business establishments including shops, offices and educational institutions are closed in most parts of twin districts of south Kashmir while public transport is off the roads. 

However,  a thin movement of private transport is being witnessed on the roads.

People including men and women were seen going to the houses of the slain militants to take part in their last rites.

 
It is pertinent to mention here that shutdown is observed in Pulwama and Shopian districts on second consecutive day as on Monday shutdown was observed on call of JRL aganist Braid chopping incidents.
