Clashes erupt during CASO
Pulwama: Intense clashes erupted on Saturday in Bellow area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district after government forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area.
Sources said that after the CASO was launched in the locality, scores of youth assembled on the road and started protesting.
Witnesses said that the forces retaliated by firing tear smoke shells on the protesters, who in return pelted stones on them.
The CASO as per the sources was launched after specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
