Police launches search operations in Langate

Handwara : A Day after suspected gunmen opened fire on father and son in Hajin Kralgund of Langate area,  government forces have launched a massive manhunt to nab the suspected militants.

Police sources told that Police along with CRPF and army have cordoned off many areas including orchards and are conducted search operations in the area.

Earlier on Friday, suspected militants fired on a man and his 11-year-old son at their home in north Kashmir’s Kralgund area. Both have received critical injuries in the attack.

A police officer said that suspected militants barged into the house of Mohammad Altaf Khan and opened fire upon them. In the incident, Altaf and his minor son Waqif Altaf received bullet injuries.

Both the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, the officer said.
